[ARCHIVED] Heat Safety

Beat the Heat

As we get closer to the official first day of summer and the temperatures are only expected to get warmer, it's important to stay safe while outside. Here are some tips to keep in mind:

  • Drink plenty of fluids.
  • Pace yourself if you have to be outdoors and take breaks often.
  • Check in those considered high risk to make sure they are staying safe.
  • Do not leave children or pets in cars as cars can quickly heat up to dangerous temperatures even with a window cracked open.
  • Know the signs and symptoms of heat-related illnesses.
