This Veterans Day we would like to thank the dedicated men and women who have served our country. In observance of Veterans Day, city offices will be closed on Friday, November 11, with the exception of:
- Landfill - 7am-Noon
- Recycling Center - 7:30am-12:30pm
- Remington Nature Center - Open
- REC Center - Open
The Veterans Day Parade will be Saturday, November 12. It will start at City Hall (10th and Francis), proceed west on Francis to 8th Street, north on Jules Street, then east to Frederick back to the start. The three Grand Marshalls all served during WWII. Two of these heroes are 97 years old and one is 101 years old.
