St. Joseph Transit bus routes will operate over the "Emergency Snow Route" streets, as close as possible to the regular route, whenever there is a significant amount of snowfall, or other conditions such as ice storms, that prevents Transit buses from safely negotiating all city streets.
When The St. Joseph Transit Safety Department determines that buses should travel only on snow routes, notification to the public will be made through local TV and radio announcements.
Please refer to the appropriate "Snow Route Bus Route" maps to determine where the closest snow route is to your origin and/or destination. If the nearest Snow Route stop is not on a "regular" bus route, there will not be a bus stop sign.
Please call 233-6700 to alert dispatch where you will be waiting for the bus on the Snow Route, or wait for the bus and flag it down.
Route Deviations will not be available while buses are on Snow Routes.
If you have any questions or desire updates on Snow Routes, please call 233-6700.
St. Joseph Transit is dedicated to provide safe and dependable bus service to all members of the City of St. Joseph community.
