Snow Removal Program
The snow removal
program in St Joseph was designed to serve all of it’s Citizens as
a whole, as well as the Traveling Public, who are just passing through
St Joseph. The Program is set up with a system of routes which aids
in traffic control and eventually serves every street in St Joseph.
De-icing Routes are used
during snow storms with less than 2 inches of snow and for ice storms.
It takes approximately 12 to 14 hours to de-ice all streets in St
Joseph. This timing depends on the duration of the storm. In other
words a storm that dwindles for 14 hours may require a second application
of salt on Emergency Routes. This will delay all other routes.
