Was Jesse James Here?
When in operation as a railroad in the 1800’s, the legend is that Jesse James held up a train on these same tracks, just East of town. The railroad ceased operations in the 1980’s. Look carefully, as you might find a golf ball hit out of play from the Fairview Golf Course 100’ to the North of much of the trail.

More to Come or Head East!
The Urban Trail ends at 36th Street - for now. Design is complete for construction to continue across the Belt Highway (via a bridge) and on East to Riverside Road. Construction should begin in 2005. When Riverside is re-constructed by MoDot, it will include sidewalks to then link the system to the entire Southeastern portion of the City.
