The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program is dedicated to eliminating childhood lead poisoning in Buchanan County. Children who live in a home built before 1978, especially homes with remodeling work done (including scraping old paint from walls, woodwork, or windows), should be screened at one and two years of age. If you your child has not been tested at age two, have them tested at least once before the age of six.
