Rosecrans Memorial Airport General Information

Rosecrans Memorial Airport is a large general aviation / military joint-use airport located 3 miles NW of St. Joseph, MO and 35 miles north of Kansas City. There are a variety of motels are within a 5-8 mile radius and rental cars can be obtained from the FBO, Express Flight Inc. (EFI) or direct from the car companies. EFI also has a courtesy car available. Rosecrans Memorial Airport is open to the public 24-hours/day, 365 days/year.

Airport Administration
Airport Administration is a division of the City of St. Joseph Department of Public Works and Transportation. Airport Administration has the following primary duties:

Infrastructure Improvement –through securing federal and state grants
Economic Development - provide the vehicle which will enhance economic benefit to the airport and surrounding communities through the development and promotion of the aviation industry and its components.
Tenant Leases/Service – provide leases for hangars, land, office space and buildings

Missouri Air National Guard (MoANG) 139th Air Lift Wing
The MoANG serve as a training facility for military units around the globe. MoANG currently has nine (9) C-130 Hercules military aircraft.

FBO – Express Flight Inc.
The FBO is the Fixed Base Operator at Rosecrans Memorial Airport. They offer flight training, aircraft rental, aircraft charter, and fuel services.
