Join us to learn the answers to the questions and how waterways of Missouri need our help. This program will be presented, weather permitting.   3. Learn Fly-fishing

    August 31, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Krug Park Lagoon

    Join the Missouri Department of Conservation at Krug Park Lagoon on August 31, 2017 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. to learn how to cast a fly rod and catch a few fish using this new technique. Sure to be fun for all ages. Please call 816-271-3100 to reserve your spot for this activity. Limited spots are available. This event will take place, weather permitting.   1. Fish Feeding Frenzy

    August 18, 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM @ Remington Nature Center

    Come help us cut worms to feed the Missouri River fish who live in our 7,000 gallon aquarium, then watch as our staff feeds them. The fish's diet consists of minnows, worms, corn, and peas. Each child will receive a special Fish Feeding sticker.

  2. Solar Eclipse Day at the Remington Nature Center

    August 21, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM @ Remington Nature Center

    Spend some time as you wait for the eclipse in the Remington Nature Center. There will be an educational solar display featured in August and kids can participate in an indoor sun scavenger hunt! The nature center gift shop will have Solar Eclipse merchandise including custom designed magnets, t-shirts, and other fun items. The nature center will be open extended hours on Solar Eclipse Day, Monday, August 21, 2017 from 7:00 a.m. - noon and 2:00 -6:00 p.m. Admission will be $3 for adults, $2 for seniors (60+), $1 for children 4-15 and free for those 3 and under. Indoor restrooms will be available for paid guests. Outdoor port-a-pots will be available in the parking lot eclipse viewing area for the general public.
